After it was painted

The paint on the KZ650 came out much better than I expected. I bondo’ed over a couple dents in the tank, etc and spent many hours sanding and sanding and sanding. I’m very happy with the results. It’s not perfect, but good enough for this old bike. And it’s Kawasaki Green!!!

    Evan –

Who’s paint and what code did you use on your Kawasaki KZ650?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ed,

I painted this bike with rattle cans. Dupli-Color Engine Enamel brand paint available at any auto parts store. I can’t recall the color code off hand, but it’s the only bright green one I’ve seen at the stores, should be fairly obviously. I’ll see if I still have some remaining and check the code.

I actually have a writeup with step by step directions on how I painted the KZ650. It will be posted shortly.

    Cheers,
    -Evan

    Evan,

did you use any clear coat after using the Dupli-Color paint, i recently stumbled upon the same paint at the auto store and was wondering If I should use a clear coat over it?

    Thanks Mike
