Hey man. I have a 1980 yamaha xs1100. And I’m in the process of chopping it… by any chance would you have a wiring diagram for that bike. I’m wanting to remove all the wires that i don’t necessarily need to operate the bike
I bought an 81 xs1100 for 500.00. the guy I got It from cut a bunch of wires when he took the turn signals off and now I’m left to figure it out. I bought some new turn signals but am having major problems getting them wired. I can get them to turn on with the signal switch but they don’t flash and there is 3 wires from each plug. a brown, a white, and a blue. the brown and white are my + and – wires. can you tell me what the blue wire is for and I am completely lost on the rear signals. any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I am a beginner with this but I’m determined to rebuild this one myself instead of paying a shop.
nice site, really enjoyed going through it. Thanks
