Just bought 1982 kz550 runs great til the battery goes dead.On 2nd battery in two weeks just had to reschedule a road test cause it died on the way there.HELP
If the bike isn’t charging you could have several problems. First thing I would do is inspect the condition of all the wiring connectors and grounds to make sure things look to be in generally good clean condition. If everything looks ok than you probably have a problem with your rectifier or your stator. It’s hard to say which.
Put a voltmeter on your battery with the bike running. What voltage do you see?
